SARTOLAB FILTER P20 PLUS, 0.2 UM, 10/PKG
Sartolab® P20 Plus with 0.2 µm surfactant-free cellulose acetate (SFCA) is designed for sterile filtration of media and aqueous solutions. It has a glass fibre prefilter and is optimized for particle-laden liquids for a higher total throughput. Type 18056 has a hose barb inlet and outlet. Version D is individually packed and sterilized by ethylene oxide (EO).
Sartolab® P20 units can be processed with pressure using a syringe, a membrane pump, or a tube pump. This allows the quick and reliable sterilisation of 100 ml to 5 liter of media and aqueous solutions. The combination of a large filtration area (20 cm²) and automatic venting of any trapped air through vent ports ensures high flow rates and optimal total throughputs. The vent ports are PTFE membrane-protected and ensure that the entire filter surface is used for effective filtration. All versions with SFCA filtration membrane which is optimized for aqueous liquids are equipped with PTFE vent ports. By solvents and solvent mixtures vent ports get permeable and the filter unit would start leaking through them. Thus, for solvent mixtures we recommend using units with PES membrane.
